About Company
The Design Collaborative is a Bengaluru-based architecture and interior design studio established in 2017. The firm provides integrated design and execution services for residential and commercial projects, bringing planning, design development, material procurement, project management, and construction coordination together. Its approach focuses on creating spaces that respond to clients' requirements while maintaining a balance between appearance, usability, and practical considerations.
The studio undertakes interior projects for apartments, villas, independent houses, offices, and studios. Its services include architectural planning, interior design, space planning, civil modifications, material selection, interior styling, and turnkey execution. The firm also provides architectural services such as façade design and the coordination of exterior and interior layouts.
The design process begins with understanding the client's needs, lifestyle, project context, and intended use of the space. The team develops concepts and layouts, followed by three-dimensional visualizations and technical drawings. These stages help establish the design direction before procurement and on-site work begin. During execution, the firm coordinates vendors, materials, engineers, and site supervisors to help maintain consistency between the approved design and the completed project.
The studio's design vocabulary draws on modern Indian sensibilities alongside international influences, including Japandi, Wabi Sabi, and contemporary styles. Its projects emphasize thoughtful proportions, restrained detailing, carefully selected textures, and functional layouts. Material choices and finishes are considered in relation to the space, the client's preferences, and the practical demands of everyday use.
The firm's portfolio includes completed residential projects such as Oku House, Casa Ecru, The Ochre Abode, and Shades of Spring, as well as commercial workplaces. Through collaboration among clients, designers, and execution teams, The Design Collaborative aims to deliver cohesive spaces with clear planning, coordinated implementation, and attention to detail.
